Focus on LAW

Chris Raybeck concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial lending and real estate transactions; general business matters, including formation and governance for business organizations; and alcoholic beverage licensing and regulatory compliance

Mr. Raybeck represents financial institutions and borrowers in loan transactions involving all forms of collateral, with particular emphasis on real-estate-backed loans.  He has extensive experience with the sale and acquisition and development of commercial property, including office buildings and retail centers.  He also represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases for a wide range of uses.  Mr. Raybeck advises business organizations with formation, contract negotiations, and asset sales and purchases.  

As part of his alcoholic beverage practice, Mr. Raybeck represents restaurants, hotels, bars, clubs and venues statewide.  Clients range from publicly-traded corporations to small, chef-owned restaurants.  Visit the firm's Alcoholic Beverage Section page here.  

Before joining Bone McAllester Norton, Mr. Raybeck served for two years as law clerk to the Honorable Walter C. Kurtz, Judge of the Fifth Circuit Court for Davidson County, Tennessee (Retired).

Mr. Raybeck received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Economics from the University of Tennessee and was a member of the University Honors Program. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he served as editor in chief of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and as a member of the Tennessee Law Review and received the UT Legal Clinic’s distinguished service award.

Mr. Raybeck is a native Nashvillian and is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations. He is active with several local non-profits, including service as a Board member of the Nashville Zoo and a committee member for Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity and Fifty Forward.  He is also a graduate of the 49th Young Leaders Council Class and is a member of the advisory board for the UT Legal Clinic.
