Law. Life. Passion.

The first part of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC's slogan is to "Do Good," and the Firm's attorneys and staff members are committed to many civic and community activities, some highlights of which follow:

  • Service on the governing boards of a number of charitable entities, including Cumberland Region Tomorrow, Boy Scouts, Nashville Exchange Club, Daystar Counseling Ministries, Youth Life Learning Center, and Family and Children's Service.
  • Service to a number of educational institutions, including the board of Father Ryan High School, Tennessee College of Law Alumni Advisory Counsel, Vanderbilt University Law School National Alumni Board and the Board of Visitors of the University of Tennessee College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Service for governmental agencies, including service as a member of the Tennessee Human Rights Commission (Stacey Garrett – appointed by Gov. Phil Bredesen) and service as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative in Correction (George Phillips – twice appointed by Gov. Phil Bredesen).

In addition to making contributions to various community and civic organizations, the Firm seeks opportunities to sponsor events that promote participation as a group. For example, we are proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the annual National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk for the last four years. Along with being a sponsor, our attorneys and staff members, their families and friends form a sizeable group and participate in the fundraising and walking.
