Bone Law Attorney Stephen Zralek files Amicus Brief in Tennessee Supreme Court on behalf of Epidemiologists Advocating Expansion of Absentee Ballots during COVID-19

Stephen ZralekStephen J Zralek Attorney at Bone McAllester Norton Professional index, a Member of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC, was honored to file an amicus brief with the Tennessee Supreme Court on behalf of seven leading Tennessee doctors and professors specializing in infectious diseases and epidemiology who highlighted the health risks of in-person voting during the pandemic and advocated expanded absentee ballots. The brief was filed in support of the injunction issued by Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle, which ordered Secretary of State to provide all eligible Tennessee voters the option of casting an absentee ballot during the pandemic. The doctors include Dr. David Aronoff of Vanderbilt, Dr. Nina Fefferman of the University of Tennessee, President James Hildreth of Meharry Medical College, Dr. William Schaffner of Vanderbilt, Dr. Thomas Talbot of Vanderbilt, Dr. Edwin Trevathan of Vanderbilt and Dr. William Wester of Vanderbilt. Doctors among this group have worked at the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health. Stephen served as co-counsel to Debo Adegbile, a partner at the international law firm WilmerHale.
