Lawyers’ Association for Women (LAW) recently hosted the 2019 Marion Griffin Women’s Symposium in Nashville. Established to advance women within the legal profession, the symposium works to expand the dialogue among women lawyers. Bone McAllester Norton attorney Andrea P. Perry co-chaired this year's event, which explored what it takes to be a female lawyer and how to effect change. Following the symposium, Andrea was featured in LAW’s October newsletter where she shared her experience co-chairing along with the progress she has witnessed within the community.
“The 2019 Marion Griffin Women’s Symposium was a vehicle to bring women together to unite, be a part of the change, and discuss and bring solutions to the table,” Andrea said. “Some of the fantastic progress I have seen from women-led initiatives includes the development of assignment systems in firms so that quality assignments are not left to implicit bias or chance. These systems have been highly useful in advancing opportunities for female lawyers.”
Bone McAllester Norton is committed to influencing positive change within the Nashville community. We are proud of all of the hard work our attorneys do to enhance and make a difference within the legal profession.
