FOX News Interviews Alex Little about Thieves Using Credit Card Skimmers to Steal Information

FOX News’ Shepard Smith interviewed Bone McAllester Norton Alex Little last week about scammers using a small device that looks like computer hardware to steal credit card information. Thieves are placing the devices into computer ports on cash registers, which scan every detail being done on that port, including processing credit cards.

“Most likely, they’re not gonna use that themselves. They are going to sell that credit card number on the Internet to somebody else,” he told Smith. “You really have an obligation at the end of every month to check your bill very closely.”

WKRN-TV Interviews David Anthony about Legal Case Involving Nashville Singer’s Tweets

Bone McAllester Norton attorney David Anthony was interviewed by WKRN-TV last week about a Nashville singer facing a lawsuit after Tweeting about her “bad customer service experience” at the airport. Natalie Grant posted several Tweets about her experience with a Southwest Airlines employee more than two years ago, and that employee sued the artist for defamation and putting her in a false light. The charges were eventually dropped, but a Tennessee Appeals Court recently upheld the false light charge.

David commented on this case on his blog, CreditorsRights101, which prompted WKRN to reach out to him for his input.

“It's easier to complain on Twitter and say things you'd never say to someone face to face, and I think that's the danger of Twitter, and I think that's the danger of this case," he told reporter Lori Mitchell.

Will Cheek Talks to Newschannel 5 about Airport-Wide Beer Permit

Bone McAllester Norton attorney Will Cheek spoke with Newschannel 5 reporter Jason Lamb yesterday about an airport-wide beer permit that would allow restaurants, retail stores and bars to sell beer past the security checkpoint. Those selling alcohol would only have to notify the Beer Board of where sales would take place rather than applying for a separate permit.

Will said the change would allow for beer and alcohol sales to match the increased traffic at Nashville International Airport and that lines at restaurants and bars would become shorter.

Alex Little Appears on Good Morning America

Bone McAllester Norton attorney Alex Little made an appearance on Good Morning America today, providing legal insight into a case involving a rapist in Montana who was released from prison after only 30 days and is set to be released today. The judge who handed down the sentence has since apologized for comments he made during the trial and tried to schedule a hearing to determine whether it can be increased by two years before the state supreme court stopped him.
“You don’t get do-overs in this way if you’re a judge,” Alex told reporter Anthony Castellano. The local district attorney has appealed the lenient sentence. “If the judgment at the end of that process is that he needs to serve more time, he’ll have to serve more time.”
