Tennessean Columnist Features Three Bonelaw Clients in Round-Up of Local Favorites

The Tennessean’s news columnist Gail Kerr wrote an article in today’s paper about local places that residents of Nashville and Middle Tennessee often do not visit. In the round-up, three Bone McAllester Norton clients were highlighted: Fontanel, the former home of country star Barbara Mandrell; the Frist Center for Visual Arts and its “Sensuous Steel” exhibit; and Peg Leg Porker, the barbecue restaurant that recently opened in the Gulch.

Kerr has “a growing head-over heals crush on Peg Leg Porker, both because the barbecue is outstanding and because the owner, Carey Bringle, is so funny.”

Kerr noted that she has visited the Frist and Peg Leg Porker but has yet to make a trip to the Fontanel—something sure to be on the top of her list now that a 140-room Holiday Inn resort has been announced.

Owner of Peg Leg Porker is Set to Launch His Own Tennessee Bourbon

Bone McAllester Norton client Carey Bringle, who opened the Peg Leg Porker barbecue restaurant in the Gulch earlier this summer, announced to the Nashville Post today that he is set to launch his own Tennessee bourbon. Saying it fits with the “men’s lifestyle brand” better than whiskey, the 90-proof straight bourbon is made right here in Tennessee and will be introduced next month at a trade show, with statewide distribution planned in the near future. It will be bottled under the Peg Leg name.
