Veteran Middle Tennessee Distiller Has Plans to Open Distillery at Fontanel Mansion

Bone McAllester Norton client Fontanel Mansion has teamed with Phil Prichard, who began Prichard’s Distillery in Kelso, Tenn. in 1997, to bring a distillery to the 136-acre property in Whites Creek. The distillery will use the first French-style alembic still of its kind in the state and should open in early September. Initial plans are to offer white whiskey, known as moonshine, and then, after the aging process has taken place, other spirits like brandy will be added. Besides the distillery, guests will have access to a tasting room, souvenir shop and sales showroom for products on-site at the Fontanel as well as from Prichard's distillery in Kelso.
