Chris represents banks and financial institutions; advises commercial real estate clients; and assists clients with business formation and acquisitions and dispositions.
Chris represents banks and financial institutions in credit facility transactions involving all forms of collateral, including real estate-backed loans (acquisition and development loans and construction loans) and commercial and industrial or asset-backed loans. His loan documentation experience covers multiple industries and includes syndications and club arrangements, on behalf of both lead lenders and participants. Chris also counsels banks on regulatory matters and bank and holding company transactions.
Chris also represents clients in the sale, acquisition, development and management of commercial property across multiple uses, including Class A office buildings and retail shopping centers. His developer clients have an array of focuses, from sponsorship of programmatic development projects for retail and healthcare uses to mixed-use buildings and residential subdivisions. He also represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases for a wide range of uses, on both a gross and net basis.
Chris assists clients with business formation and acquisitions and dispositions. He advises companies on governance matters and in connection with financing.
Chris also works with the firm’s Alcohol and Beverage Law team, assisting maker and retail clients with real estate matters.
Before joining Bone McAllester Norton, Chris clerked for two years for the Honorable Walter C. Kurtz, Judge of the Fifth Circuit Court for Davidson County, Tennessee (Retired).
Professional Recognition and Activities
Chris and his wife, Ramsey, are Nashville natives. They have two children and are active with several favorite nonprofits (including the Nashville Zoo and Saddle Up!).
